I have cold blogging feet

Probably because I know there's only one person who actually reads this blog!

Anyway, Ive tried to blog something, anything, every night this week, but... nope.

So, today, I will blog.

I wish I had the wit of Hyperbole and a Half (www.hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com), and half her readers- do you know that's all she does? be clever? *sigh* I got a TON of clever in me! (and yes, that's a plug, cause, she's awesome. I wanna draw cool MS Paint pictures like her, but, welll... I guess thats called copying...)

Ok, anyway, today, I wanna talk about music.

I am really trying to branch out, to listen to groups like Blackmore's Night, those that are in the same feeling as faire mucis but may not, in fact, use bagpipes, or sing in Gaelic.

Thing is, I really dig SOME Blackmore's Night, but the guitar pieces... they have such medieval melodies if they would just PUT THE ARPEGGIOS DOWN! It ruins songs I might otherwise love cause there's this flamenco guitar in there.

Also, Blind Guardian- love a few (The Elder, Skalds and Shadows, Once and Present Secret) but why cant EVERYTHING be awesome like that? The world NEEDS more hard rock bard music!

And dont even get me started on Celtic Women, Celtic Thunder, etc. Sorry, it was cool when you were an offshoot of Anuna, but when there's nothing one bit Celtic about your music? I gotta pass.

I love music, I'm an ex choir girl, music makes me happy- I just want MORE!

(and I'm still pissy at you, Tangerine Dream, for making it nigh-on impossible for me to get Loved by the Sun any other way than to pay $45 for the Legend Tangerine Dream soundtrack!)

  1. I'm glad you blogged. I don't have nearly the amount of time I thought I was going to have when I started my blog. I was blogging daily when my home faire, TNRF, was opened and that's when I've had the most traffic.
Since then I've been working my art and have not had time to blog.

    Chris.
